Civic engagement is lots of different acts by lots of different people that add up to a huge positive impact on your community.
Civic engagement doesn’t look the same for everyone. Some folks don’t like crowds, some are introverted, and others have mobility challenges, but everyone can still participate and make a difference.
This page is a resource to give folks ideas and information so that they can participate in their own way.
Austin City Council:
Attend City Council meetings or watch them online. You can also listen to them on KAZI 88.7 FM. Learn more about Austin City Council meetings and how you can comment on issues before the council.
Join a Committee or follow committee meetings. You can comment and help them shape policy or join the committee. Learn more about Committees.
